FishMap is for sharing fishing knowledge without compromising other anglers' safety, privacy or waters.
Never post somebody else's home address, personal details, private messages, precise fishing spots, syndicate information or identifiable location data without permission. If somebody chooses to keep a spot secret, respect that.
No threats, harassment, hate, targeted abuse, sexual exploitation, impersonation or coordinated bullying.
Do not encourage poaching, trespass, evasion of permits/licences, wildlife crime or deliberate harm to fish. Follow local fishery rules and responsible fish-care practice.
Group admins can set additional rules but cannot override these standards or FishMap privacy controls. Private-group content stays restricted to authorised membership under the platform access rules.
Use Report for genuine safety, privacy or rule concerns. Moderators receive the report and relevant social content; reporting does not grant them blanket access to the reported user's private journal.
FishMap may hide/remove social content, resolve reports, restrict social actions or suspend an account where necessary and proportionate. Privacy/data-rights requests remain available even when social access is restricted.
